This week in Cheshire West: a mystery arrives at Neston Library
An Agatha Christie display opened at Neston Library on 30 October, with a tour to Chester and other borough libraries planned for 2027.

Cheshire West and Chester Council announced on 27 October that Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery would open at Neston Library on 30 October. The display explores the novelist’s life, travels and the beginnings of characters such as Poirot and Miss Marple.
The council says the display is due to tour Great Boughton, Little Sutton, Chester and Winsford libraries in 2027. A new mystery story by Ann Cleeves is set for a Neston launch on 4 November, alongside a wider programme of talks and activities. Check the library’s current details before travelling.
This is a borough library programme, not a Chester-only opening this week. Our photograph shows the Neston building from an earlier year, not the display or visitors. For an independent book club or reading group, a clearly labelled mug for your own team could be a practical gift; there is no connection to the exhibition.
